A story made for your family

Personalized children's books

A personalized children's book can be more than a familiar name in a fixed story. With Magical Book Maker, you choose the people, setting, language and idea, then shape the words and illustrations with Lumi, your AI creative helper.

Start with something they recognize

Choose one detail your child would notice immediately: their favorite animal, the kitchen where everyone cooks together, a grandparent's phrase or a game they invented. You can build a story around an ordinary afternoon as easily as a trip to the moon.

Try this fictional starting point: ‘Make a gentle story for a five-year-old who loves trains. She and her grandfather build a cardboard station in the living room. Let her solve a small problem by asking for help.’ Add only details you are comfortable sharing.

Make the character feel familiar

Describe the character's appearance, personality and clothes. A photo is optional. Save characters in your family workspace to use again in another book, then review each illustration: AI-generated pictures can still miss details.

Personalization can include family structure, culture, faith and traditions. Tell Lumi what matters to your family rather than expecting it to infer those details from a name or a photograph.

Choose the kind of book they will enjoy

A bedtime adventure, a picture book about a new sibling, a family recipe story or an alphabet book can all begin with a simple idea. Choose how much text belongs on each page and ask for words suited to the reader.

You can edit the words yourself and request changes to pictures. Read the complete book aloud before sharing it. Check names, facts, tone and anything your child might find confusing or frightening.

Keep it in your family's library

Invited families can read their books in the browser and download PDFs without an extra download charge. Creating with AI uses credits; a free PDF download does not mean all book creation is free.
